Modal Split Hamburg

The route-related modal split describes the percentage distribution of all routes traveled by Hamburg residents across the transport modes “motorized individual transport (MIV)”, “public transport (ÖPV)”, “cycling” and “pedestrian traffic”. The data set contains the travel-related modal split for Hamburg for 2017 according to the household survey “Mobility in Germany (MiD) 2017” (https://www.hamburg.de/bvm/mid-hamburg). The evaluation was carried out here for the seven districts and seven city regions. The differentiation according to city regions was carried out for the MiD study in order to better reflect the spatial structural and socio-economic differences, and thus ultimately the mobility requirements, in the city than by differentiating according to districts.
