The Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport "Bundesministerium/s für Digitales und Verkehr" (BMDV). mCLOUD is up to now the Ministry’s open data portal, which is operated by the Federal Information Technology Centre (ITZBund). All data available on mCLOUD is open and can be used freely. Much of the mobility or infrastructure-related data is provided by executive agencies of the Ministry, the Ministry’s mFUND funding programme and federal state and local authority open data portals. From mid-2022, the open data portal mCLOUD will gradually be merged into the Mobilithek and will be discontinued by the end of 2023 at the latest.
