Environmental indicators NRW

The environmental indicators of the LANUV are measured and key figures with which both the current environmental situation and development trends can be clearly presented and evaluated. Complex aspects, such as e.g. B. the air quality, water quality, energy and raw material consumption or the use of open spaces measurable. A description of the state of the environment using environmental indicators does not claim to paint a complete picture. Rather, relevant sub-aspects should be highlighted, the status and development of which is of particular interest. In accordance with the survey cycle, the set of indicators is updated on the Internet once a year on the basis of the data available at the time. The data set contains time series data on the following NRW environmental indicators: -Greenhouse gas emissions -Renewable energies in primary energy and gross electricity consumption -Cogeneration in net electricity production -Primary and final energy consumption -Energy productivity -Commodity consumption and commodity productivity -Nitrogen oxide emissions -Nitrogen dioxide concentration in the urban background -Ozone concentration in the urban Background -Particulate matter concentration in the urban background -Noise pollution -Household waste and recycling -Land consumption -Heavy metal input at rural stations -Ecological condition of surface watercourses -Nitrate concentration in groundwater -Endangered species -Nature protection areas -Deciduous/coniferous tree percentage -Forest condition -Nitrogen and acid input -Organic farming - Agricultural areas with a high natural value -nitrogen area balance (nitrogen surplus of the agriculturally used area)
