Wheelmap is a map for wheelchair accessible places. At www.wheelmap.org everyone can easily find places, enter them and rate them using a traffic light system - worldwide. The card, which has been available since 2010, is intended to help wheelchair users and people with other mobility impairments plan their day more easily. More than 750,000 cafés, libraries, swimming pools and many other publicly accessible places are currently recorded. Over 300 new entries are added every day. Wheelmap is also available as a free app for iPhone, Android and Windows Phone. The card can be conveniently used on the go via smartphone. Wheelmap.org is a project by SOCIALHELDEN, a group of committed young people who have been developing creative projects together since 2004 to draw attention to social problems and, ideally, eliminate them.
