Bicycle-free one-way streets in Wuppertal

The data set includes the real and fake one-way streets in the urban area of ​​Wuppertal that are open to bicycle traffic in both directions as an excerpt from the Wuppertal traffic model. (In the case of a fake one-way street, entry into the street is only permitted from one direction, but both directions of travel are permitted within the street.) The Wuppertal traffic model is a node-edge model of the street network, the actually planar one-way streets are therefore simplified in this dataset represented by the central axes of the associated streets. The permitted driving or entry direction is opposite to the running direction of the line geometries. In 2015, the geometric position of the nodes of the traffic model was coordinated with the digital base map DGK. All large-scale Wuppertal basic geodata can therefore be used as a background map for a visualization of the data set. The data set of the one-way streets without bicycle traffic is a subset of the data set "One-way streets Wuppertal", which includes all real and fake one-way streets in the Wuppertal city area. It is also generated because there is a need for this previously filtered variant in the thematic context of "cycling traffic". The occasional updating of the database is triggered by change notifications from the Department of Roads and Traffic to the Department of Surveying, Cadastral Office and Geodata, where it is promptly incorporated into the database. The ESRI Shapefiles, KML and GeoJSON files provided as open data under the CC BY 4.0 license are updated weekly in an automated process.
