The data was processed in 2000. The Dataset contains the hydrographic network (surface and manhole) of the territory of the former Province of Milan, divided into different themes: main waterways, secondary waterways, fountains, etc. The sections covered in some cases are hypothetical. A large part of the irrigation network in the town of Milan is absent both because it is completely covered and because the Municipality itself manages the network. The data have a purely cognitive function and cannot be used for legal purposes. The surveys were carried out based on the L.R. 32/80 now repealed and replaced by L.R. 26/03 and subsequent amendments. With the issuing of D.G.R 7/7868 of 25 January 2002 and subsequent amendments and additions, the responsibilities regarding the determination of the water network were entrusted to the Municipalities.
