As part of a measurement campaign in September 2020, mobile ADCP flow measurements were carried out in the vicinity of the Eider barrage. For the first time, measurements were taken on two cross sections, in front of and behind the barrage. On four measurement days, measurements were taken over an entire tide during four control states (tidal operation, flood throttling, flood and ebb throttling and flood throttling in (n-1) operation). As expected, the measurements during throttling operation on the side of the barrier facing away from the flow were canceled for a more or less long period of time due to strong turbulence, but measurements could be carried out continuously on the second profile. In parallel to the measurements at the Eider barrage, conductivity, water temperature, oxygen, turbidity and flow velocity were measured on four anchorages in the outer and tidal Eider.
