Air measuring stations Wuppertal (passive collector)

The data set from the Wuppertal air measuring stations (passive collector) contains the location information for the (as of 05/2021) 50 measuring stations in the Wuppertal urban area that have been providing temporal average values ​​for nitrogen dioxide concentrations since 2006. The location coordinates were digitized with an accuracy of 1 meter based on aerial photographs (orthophotos). The passive collectors are tubes filled with adsorbent material suspended in protective housings, in which the nitrogen dioxide accumulates through natural diffusion over an exposure period of four weeks. The measured values ​​determined through laboratory analysis (monthly values, annual average values) are published in separate files. They can be linked to the location data via the station number in the MEASURING POINT attribute. The location information also includes the nearest address (attributes STR_NAME and HOUSE NO), possibly with additional relative information such as "opposite" (attribute ADDITIONAL INFO), as well as the time interval in which the respective station was operated (attributes DATUM_FROM and DATUM_TO). The data set includes both the 30 stations currently in operation (as of 05/2021) and the 20 stations (as of 05/2021) whose operation has since been discontinued. The DATUM_BIS attribute is only used for the latter. The dataset is available in Shape, KML and GeoJSON formats under an Open Data License (CC BY 4.0).
