To generate a comprehensive land cover data set for the DWD city climate model MUKLIMO_3, the Copernicus Urban Atlas data were supplemented by Corine Landcover data. The original classes of the two input data sets were retained and are documented on the Copernicus Land Monitoring Service website (https://land.copernicus.eu/local/urban-atlas/urban-atlas-2012, https://land.copernicus.eu /pan-european/corine-land-cover/clc-2012). The data set was created as part of the Copernicus project "Use of the GMES Urban Atlas for urban climate modeling" (GUAMO) funded by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) under the funding number 50 EW 1610 (duration August 2016 - September 2018).
