DBTR - Volumetric Unit - (UVL_GPG)

The surface of each building is divided into volumetric units by means of dividers, or lines of separation between elements of different heights and homogeneous plan. By volumetric parts we mean those significant for the purposes of a volumetric quantification of the building structure regardless of the inclination and conformation of the roof pitches. The volumetric parts of the buildings must be represented if the height differences in the gutters are greater than the permitted altimetric tolerance, with the following exclusions: roof terraces, dormer windows, skylights, terraces obtained in the groundwater, chimney pots, flues on the roofs and any other element not directly connected with the volume of the building and such as not to identify a building body from heaven to earth that can be differentiated from the adjacent ones. The technical volumes protruding from the shape of the roof (lift shafts, stairwells, power plants and technological rooms, etc.) are also to be excluded if they do not constitute a distinct and autonomous building body.

lineage The primary source for acquiring objects is the Digital Surface Model (DSM) supplied together with the multifunctional orthophotos Agea 2008, Agea 2011 and Agea2014. Through the comparison between the Building class already returned, the Otrophoto AGEA2008 and the digital model of the Terrain obtained from the CTR 1:5000 (and therefore consistent with the Altimetric Classes of the DBTR), making appropriate local adaptations both planar and altimetric, and involving the With the aid of specially developed algorithms, the individual Volumetric Units that make up the Buildings have been identified. Other alternative primary sources to CTR5 consist of vector layers or numerical cartography, which meet the necessary requirements for the DBT and for the realization of the Volumetric Units, available at the municipal SIT. Given the accuracy due to the DSM source (+/- 3 meters) the height value is to be considered qualitative and for small values it is normalized to 3, 6 and 9 m.
