Automatic counting point Rumohr 2010

On Germany's motorways and extra-urban federal roads, all vehicles are constantly counted at automatic counting points. Depending on the type of device used, up to nine vehicle types can be distinguished. The data is collected by the federal states and transmitted to BASt on a quarterly basis. Annual mileage and average daily traffic volumes (DTV) are calculated on this basis. The data forms an important basis for traffic or construction engineering decisions and measures.
