The Economic Employment Training Basins (BEEF) result from the joint State-Region desire to offer a single map of employment basins in Ile-de-France. Their objective is to rationalize public intervention, strengthen coherence and the effectiveness of public policies. These “BEEF” geographical perimeters constitute in particular the relevant reference scale for identifying the skills needs with regard to the economic challenges of the territories (and more particularly the professions in tension), in order to define a provision of professional training, both initial (in particular apprenticeship) and continuing, and lifelong guidance adapted to the realities of the economic fabric and the needs of the populations.
