The hydrographic basin of the Palma River is located in the central portion of the southern slope of Sicily and occupies a total area of 122.5 km2. The basin in question has an elongated shape in the NE - SW direction and the basins with which it borders are, proceeding in clockwise, the following:- to W-- Naro River Basin and intermediate area;- to N-- Naro River Basin;- to E-- Southern Imera River Basin and intermediate area; Along the watershed line, in a predominantly hilly context, the most important relief is represented by the summit of the calcarenitic ridge of C.da Castellazzo (562.2 m asl) falling within the municipal territory of Camastra, in correspondence with the northern sector of the pelvis; in other areas, the highest peaks remain between 300 and 400 m a.s.l. From an administrative point of view, the basin of the F. Palma falls entirely within the Province of Agrigento, embracing a total of 5 municipal territories with a single inhabited center falling totally within the basin. The Intermediate Area 069 is adjacent , to the west, to the hydrographic basin of the Palma River and is located in the central portion of the southern slope of Sicily, occupying a total area of 30.0 km2. In this sector the hydrographic networks of the Montechiaro, Monte Grande and Sumera valleys develop, as well as other modest incisions that quickly flow into the Mediterranean Sea. The intermediate area 069 is included between the basins of the Naro River to the west and the Palma River to the east. The highest altitudes are generally less than 400 m a.s.l. and are exceeded only at the northernmost portion of the watershed line, near the southern slopes of Monte Narbone (420 m a.s.l.). From an administrative point of view, the intermediate area 069 falls entirely within the Province of Agrigento, embracing a total of 2 municipal territories without any main inhabited center falling within it, but with two seaside hamlets in correspondence with "Zingarello" (Municipality of Agrigento) and "Marina di Palma" (Municipality of Palma di Montechiaro).------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------List of published data:1) Basin report in digital format (.pdf) 1.1) REPORT_F.PALMA_07apr06.pdf 1.2) Report_F.Palma_I_Update_Partial_2011.pdf (1st partial update - 2011) 2) Cartography in digital format (.pdf) 2.A) Card of the installments in scale 1: 10,000 (n.14 tables) 2.a.1) palm_dissesti_636160_03.pdf 2.A.2) palm_dissesti_637100_01.pdf 2.a.3) palm_dissesti_637110_02.pdf 2.a.4) Palma_dissesti_637130.pdf 2.A.5) PALMA_DISSESTI_637140_05.pdf 2.A.6) PALMA_DISSESTI_637150_06.pdf 2.A.7) PALMA_DISSESTI_642010_07.pdf 2.A.8) PALMA_DISSESTI_642020_08.pdf 2.A.9) PALMA_DISSESTI_642030_0 9.pdf 2.A.10 ) F_palma_dissesti_636160_03.pdf (1st partial update - 2011) 2.a.11) F_palma_dissesti_637100_01.pdf (I ° partial update - 2011) 2.a.12) F_Palma_dissesti_637140_05.pdf (i ° partial update - 2011) 2.a. 13) F_PALMA_DISSESTI_642010_07.pdf (1st partial update - 2011) 2.A.14) F_PALMA_DISSESTI_642020_08.pdf (1st partial update - 2011) 2.B) Hazard and geomorphological risk map in scale 1:10.000 (N.14 tables) 2.B.1) PALMA_RISCHIO_PERICOLOSITA'_636160_03.pdf 2.B.2) PALMA_RISCHIO_PERICOLOSITA'_637100_01.pdf 2.B.3) PALMA_RISCHIO_PERICOLOSITA'_637110_02.pdf 2.B.4) PALMA_RISCHIO_PERICOLOSITA'_637 130_04.pdf 2.B. 5) PALMA_RISCHIO_PERICOLOSITA'_637140_05.pdf 2.B.6) PALMA_RISCHIO_PERICOLOSITA'_637150_06.pdf 2.B.7) PALMA_RISCHIO_PERICOLOSITA'_642010_07.pdf 2.B.8) PALMA_RISCHIO_PERICOLOSITA'_642020_08 .pdf 2.B.9) PALMA_RISCHIO_PERICOLOSITA'_642030_09. pdf 2.B.10) F_PALMA_ReP_636160_03.pdf (1st partial update - 2011) 2.B.11) F_PALMA_ReP_637100_01.pdf (1st partial update - 2011) 2.B.12) F_PALMA_ReP_637140_05.pdf (1st partial update - 2011) 2.B.13 )F_PALMA_ReP_642010_07 .pdf (1st partial update - 2011) 2.B.14) F_PALMA_ReP_642020_08.pdf (1st partial update - 2011) 2.C) Map of hydraulic hazards in scale 1:10.000 ( No. 5 tables) 2.C.1) IDRO-palma_PERICOLOSITA_636160_03.pdf 2.C.2) IDRO-palma_PERICOLOSITA_637100_01.pdf 2.C.3) IDRO-palma_PERICOLOSITA_637140_05.pdf 2.C.4) IDRO-palma_PERICOLOSITA_637150_06 .pdf 2.C .5) IDRO-palma_PERICOLOSITA_642020_08.pdf 2.D) Hydraulic risk map in scale 1:10.000 (N.1 table) 2.D.1) IDRO-palma_RISCHIO_642020_08.pdf 3) Thematic maps in digital format (.pdf) scale 1:50.000 3.1) LITOLOGIA_F.PALMA.pdf 3.2) USOSUOLO_F.PALMA.pdf 4) Union Framework in digital format (.pdf) 5) Census forms in digital format (.pdf) 5.1) SCHEDE_CENSIMENTO.pdf----- -------------------------------------------------Publication G.U.R.S. n.53 of 11/17/2006Updates: 1st partial update - 2011 - D.P.R. no. 260 of 13/06/2012 - G.U.R.S. no. 33 of 10/08/2012.
