Mosaic of digital maps created from scanned paper sheets. The digital maps were produced between 2007 and 2011 as part of a specific project (aimed at the vectorial acquisition of cadastral data and transformation towards the national geodetic system). They were created starting from the scanning of paper sheets and their subsequent georeferencing, first in the Cassini-Soldner system and then in the ETRF2000 UTM32N system. The paper maps were built at a scale ranging from 1:1,000 to 1:4,000 ( with some exceptions for the inhabited centers of considerable importance, which have been returned on a 1:500 scale). The mosaic of the digital maps was created by cutting out and eliminating from each raster the portion outside the effective area of the map sheet (which is would overlap contiguous rasters), using as a mask the vector coverage of the mosaic sheets produced within the project Mosaicatura Catastale of the Piedmont Region. This has made it possible to produce continuous and complete data on the whole regional territory.
