Arpa Piemonte - location of anaerobic digestion plants (biogas)

Localization of anaerobic digestion plants, with particular attention to the livestock and agricultural sector. The plants have been divided into plants in operation, under construction and in the authorization phase. For each plant, the company where it is built, the year of authorisation, the year of commissioning, the source of material used for the power supply, the electrical power and the thermal power have been reported.

lineage	The work was carried out using various sources of consultation: the project plans, the geoportal of Arpa Piemonte, Google maps, Google Street View and Bing maps. Through the involvement of the individual provincial departments, it was possible to consult the project plans for some plants, which allowed for precise georeferencing. When this was not possible, the geographical dataset "Register of environmental subjects" (ANAGAMB) present on the company geoportal was used, which allows the identification and access to the data of companies subject to environmental authorisations. For the location of most of the systems, the websites Google Maps, Google Street View and Bing maps were consulted, as they are characterized by very recent orthophotos and 360° horizontal panoramic views.
