Mosaication of the Acoustic Classification plans drawn up by the Municipalities of the provinces of Asti, Biella, Cuneo, Novara and Turin. The Acoustic Classification Plan (PCA), also known as "acoustic zoning", represents a tool of considerable importance for the management and prevention of noise pollution. The PCA divides the municipal territory into six homogeneous zones from the point of view of the urban settlements, setting the maximum permissible noise limits in the environment and determining constraints and conditions for an acoustically sustainable development of the territory. The six zones are: Class I - Particularly protected areas, Class II - Mainly residential areas, Class III - Mixed type areas, Class IV - Areas of intense human activity, Class V - Mainly industrial areas, Class VI - Exclusively industrial areas. The maximum values set by the PCA are: emission limits (maximum levels referring to a single source), absolute input limits (maximum levels referring to all sources as a whole), quality values (target levels to be achieved in the short , medium, long term) and the attention values (levels for the protection of health and the environment. The PCA must be approved by all the Municipalities pursuant to the Framework Law on noise pollution n° 447/95 and the Regional Law n° 52/00.The procedure provides for the approval of a proposal for acoustic zoning, and subsequently, once the time has elapsed for the presentation of observations by the province, neighboring municipalities and private individuals, the adoption of the definitive plan. : THE DATA IN CONSULTATION ARE NOT OFFICIAL DATA AND MAY NOT BE UPDATED.
