Overall and individual assessment of Germany's North Sea coastal waters in accordance with the Water Framework Directive. Quality components phytoplankton (QE1_1), macroalgae and angiosperms (QE1_2) and macroinvertebrates (QE1_3) as well as the overall ecological and chemical status of the coastal waters up to the sovereign border are shown on the 10x10 km grid of the European Environment Agency. >50% approach: Grid cells that contain all or part of the sea water are given the value that is occupied by more than 50% of the corresponding sea area of the attribute to be evaluated.
