Provisional reference file municipal boundaries, status 22/05/2003

The provisional municipal boundaries reference file serves as a reference regarding the boundaries of Flemish municipalities for the GIS-Flanders. The location of the municipal boundaries is derived from information from KADSCAN, the scanned and georeferenced cadastral plot plans. Furthermore, information from official sources has also been added, including boundary changes published in the Official Gazette. The provisional reference file for municipal boundaries includes Flemish municipalities, districts, provinces and the Flemish Region. It is a "provisional reference file" pending the availability of a definitive reference file. drawn up in collaboration with national institutions (NGI, NIS, AKRED).
