The protected areas include nature protection areas (NSG), landscape protection areas (LSG) and NNL (national natural landscapes) (formerly GSG (large protected areas)) consisting of biosphere reserves, nature parks and national parks. Since 2007, the digital geodata for protected areas has been provided in thematically aggregated shape files: "aaa" (protected area type - NSG, GSG, LSG) "_999" (suffix for aggregation type) "std" (type of view - standard). Two versions are available for download: The files in the form "aaa_sfl_std" contain the limits of the areas of application of the protection orders that justify the current protection status of the individual protected areas. If a protected area includes areas within the scope of two or more protection orders, their boundaries within the protected area are also shown. Areas outside the NSG in which activities that extend into the protected area are prohibited (§ 22 (1) sentence 2 BNatSchG) are not included. In addition to the information mentioned, the files in the form "aaa_mz_std" also contain the boundaries of zoning and areas according to § 21 (2) sentence 3 BbgNatSchG (e.g. nature development areas, total reservations, areas with special regulations) within and areas according to § 22 (1) Clause 2 BNatSchG outside of protected areas. !!!
