Commercial activities: neighborhood businesses in a fixed location

The dataset contains the list of neighborhood businesses in a fixed location, where neighborhood businesses mean a commercial activity with a sales area not exceeding 250 square meters (excluding warehouses, services, etc.). In addition to location by street and house number and sales area, there is other information taken from the administrative archive. For the interpretation of the data it must be considered that the legislation relating to trade has undergone numerous changes over time, both with respect to the nomenclature and classification of activities, and with respect to the type and number of information collected. In some cases, the regulatory changes have introduced variables not present in the archives, enriching the dataset with information. However, these variations are not retroactively reflected in the archive, but are updated on the first occasion in which the owner contacts the offices to communicate any variation (moving house, takeover, variation of sales area, accumulation of activities ....) . Therefore the information contained in the dataset is not necessarily homogeneous, because it refers to the moment of the last communication. Updated to December 2018.
