Automatic counter Fehmarnsundbrücke 2010

All vehicles are continuously counted at automatic counting stations on Germany's motorways and federal highways. Depending on the device type used, up to nine vehicle types can be distinguished. The data is collected by the federal states and sent to BASt on a quarterly basis. Annual mileage and average daily traffic volume (DTV) are calculated on this basis. The data form an important basis for traffic or construction engineering decisions and measures.
