Map layer regulation replacing contract areas NRW

The map layer "contractual area replacing ordinance" can be selected in the Web Map Service landscape information collection (WMS LINFOS) and shows the spatial location of the FFH areas in North Rhine-Westphalia, where the guarantee has taken place via contracts with landowners or user associations. The Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC aims to maintain or restore a favorable conservation status of natural habitats and wild animal and plant species of community interest. To ensure this goal, the FFH areas confirmed in the EU community list are to be designated by the member states as special protection areas (SAC = Special Area of ​​Conservation). The protection designation in North Rhine-Westphalia is based on the specifications of the VV-Habitatschutz, No. 3.1. and is usually done by designating it as a nature reserve.
