This file contains a number of waters in Gelderland that have a very high ecological value. Provincial policy is aimed at protecting these waters. The policy distinguishes two types of ecologically important water: HEN water and SED water. This file is composed of the following map layers : 1. HEN-water : water of the highest ecological level. It approaches the most natural situation. The province wants to protect that ecological value and reduce any negative influence. 2. SED water : water with a specific ecological objective. These have some human influence, but have an ecological value or can acquire this value with relatively little effort. However, the most natural situation is not in the offing for these waters. The province mainly wants to restore and protect natural values. This file was adopted by the Provincial Council on March 1, 2017.
