Pipelines for the transport of hazardous materials (TMD)

A material is classified as dangerous when it is likely to cause serious consequences for the population, property and/or the environment, depending on its physical and/or chemical properties, or by the nature of the reactions it can cause. The transport of hazardous materials by buried pipelines consists of a set of pressurized pipes, of variable diameters, which is used to move fluids or liquefied gases continuously or sequentially. Pipes are mainly used to transport natural gas (gas pipelines), liquid or liquefied hydrocarbons (oil pipelines, pipelines), certain chemical products (ethylene, propylene, etc.) and brine (brine pipeline).
