The map includes calculations for the biomass from solid residues that can be energetically exploited for the production of electricity and heat. The relevant calculations have as a basic source the annual agricultural statistics of the National Statistical Authority and express, at the level of the municipal district, the available quantities of residuals in mass (tons) and energy (MJ). The statistical calculations are indicative of the height of the potential since they depend on the adoption of a large number of parameters. More detailed applications are hosted on the pages of the National Energy Information System at www.ypeka.gr. 3rd edition, December 2009 (primary data up to 2006).
