Administrative boundaries (Municipality, Province, National Government and Water Board)

The Administrative boundaries dataset is an additional set to the dataset offered by the BRK. The responsibility for the Administrative boundaries dataset and associated API lies with Information House Space. The target group of the Administrative boundaries dataset includes all users who need the administrative boundaries of municipalities, provinces and national borders determined by Kadaster. In addition to these boundaries, the boundaries of water boards have also been added, these boundaries have been supplied by Het Waterschapshuis. In addition to the national border established by Kadaster, this API also opens up two national borders supplied by the Ministry of the Interior for use within the DSO. The OINs of the competent authorities are also included in the dataset, the ownership of the OINs lies with Logius and the API only returns OINs of the competent authorities that are in the dataset. With regard to the dataset included in this dataset with the management boundaries of the 21 water boards in the Netherlands, the following applies: “It concerns the as-is situation as of 01-04-2019. This set is intended for use in the Digital System Environment Act (DSO). The set is not yet INSPIRE-specific. Substantive harmonization (topological correctness) by the water boards still needs to be done. Each water board is the source holder of its own management boundary.
