The undivided low-traffic areas (UZVR) for Saxony were calculated for the first time using the method of the nationwide landscape fragmentation indicator (LIKI/UMK indicator 10) developed by the federal state initiative for core indicators (LIKI). The data were compiled for the landscape program and represent a result of consideration. They therefore differ from the results of the study on landscape fragmentation prepared by the LfULG (https://publikationen.sachsen.de/bdb/artikel/13820) presented on maps Anthropogenic fragmentation elements with relevance for Saxony are taken into account: roads from a modeled traffic volume of 1000 vehicles/24 h (BAB, federal and state roads, district roads), double-track railway lines and single-track electrified, in operation, localities and airports. In the case of roads and railway lines, tunnels longer than 1000 m are considered to be an interruption ("division"). All UZVR are included from a minimum size of 40 km². The UZVR are shown in the size classes: 40 - 70 km², 70 - 100 km² and 100 km². Emphasized are UZVR with particularly high value for species and biotope protection as well as landscape-related recreation. You meet at least one of the following criteria: UZVR size > 100 km², UZVR with national park, nature park or biosphere reserve share, FFH share or SPA share > 20 percent, NSG share > 8 percent, LSG share > 70 percent or UZVR are rated high or very high in terms of recreational suitability or the landscape. These UZVR are defined as targets in the LEP 2013.
