Temperature at 100 m below ground

Temperature distribution map at a depth of 100 m below ground. The data is based on temperature profiles measured at approx. 130 deep groundwater measuring points. These temperature profiles serve as the basis for the construction and interpolation (kriging) of a 3D temperature model for the medium-deep underground of Hamburg (Damerau, 2013). Using the temperature model, an area map of the natural temperature distribution at a depth of 100 m below ground was developed.
