Surface water bodies with elevations according to the Water Framework Directive

Data is provided from Hamburg's surface water bodies for which assessment events and measures in accordance with the EC Water Framework Directive (EG-WFD) are recorded. For the assessment, the Water Framework Directive stipulates certain quality values ​​to be achieved in various assessment classes by 2015: - Chemical assessment (carried out by the Institute for Hygiene and Environment, HU) - Biological assessment: flora and fauna (BSU) - Hydromorphology, water structure quality (BSU) Each evaluation is based on predefined attributes. Measured values ​​determined are usually summarized into status values ​​(good ; medium ; bad). There are only two values ​​for certain attributes: limit value complied with or limit value exceeded. The required reports to the federal government are made on specific dates using a standardized XML schema and as shape files. The water management measures describe activities that take place on certain stretches of water in order to improve the quality there and to achieve the requirements of the Water Framework Directive. The assignment to the water bodies and water body sections is based on the master data of the topological water body network (RW SEG GEOM). The data is provided here as a WMS display service and WFS download service. The assessments and measures according to the Water Framework Directive are linked to the water body objects in the form of profiles and csv files.
