Soils with special characteristics - wet and moist soils

The derivation of the criterion is based on the soil function map "Natural soil fertility". From the map, the areas rated as level I (very low) were selected. From these, the soils with terrestrial, dry characteristics were separated. Particularly semiterrestrial soils with high to very high groundwater levels and soils with high backwater properties are shown. These soils are damp or wet year-round. They have little root space and low to very low water retention properties. Typical natural plant communities and soil organisms are adapted to these soil conditions.
