Soil-related main natural areas in Schleswig-Holstein (boundaries)

The map contains the boundary lines of the country's four main natural areas based on soil and geological criteria. The age of the near-surface deposits and the relief form the basis for this. The map was developed from geological and pedological overview maps and from data on the relief. It represents the basis for the regionalization of the soil assessment maps for Schleswig-Holstein. For the region-specific soil assessment maps, the classes (usually percentiles) were determined specifically for each main natural area.
