This dataset contains borehole sample profiles that have been prepared in the field at thousands of locations in the Netherlands. The borehole sample profiles are provided with, among other things, the soil type, the location and the date of drilling. For each horizon, the horizon class and important characteristics are included, such as (field) estimates of the organic matter content and texture. Only the estimated loam and lutum percentages of the texture are included. The starting point is that gravel, sand and loam together form 100%. The upper and lower depths of each horizon are also included. The litter layers (horizons L, F, H and O) lie above ground level in this model.
