Protected areas of nature conservation

The spatial database contains the digital borders of the protected areas and their zoning according to the nature conservation law for the Free State of Thuringia. The following protected area themes are available: * Hainich National Park, * biosphere reserves (BR), * biosphere reserves (BR) with zoning, * nature parks, * nature conservation areas (NSG), * landscape protection areas (LSG), * areas and objects of the Natura 2000 network (FFH -Areas and punctiform -Objects and EC bird protection areas (SPA)), * protection area zoning. The data serve as a basis for planning of any kind by planning authorities and planning offices as well as for general information of the public about the situation of the protected areas. As a rule, these are not official borders! However, FFH areas and EC bird sanctuaries are official boundaries based on TK 25/2003.
