Monitoring network of chemical-physical elements, pursuant to Legislative Decree 152/06. The stations for determining the chemical and physical parameters are located on 7 transects perpendicular to the coast (Lido di Volano, P. Garibaldi, Casalborsetti, Lido Adriano, Cesenatico, Rimini and Cattolica) and 0.5 and 3 km away from the shoreline. the number and location of the survey stations make it possible to carry out a sufficient assessment of the extent and impact generated by algal blooms and of the pressures existing on the coastal strip. The frequency of phytoplankton surveys is fortnightly.
