A street or sidewalk gully is a facility for draining rainwater. A gully is connected to a rainwater or wastewater sewer or sometimes to a direct discharge pipe to surface water. Many gullies have a stench screen to prevent gases from the sewer from causing nuisance or danger on the road. In addition, many gullies have a sand trap, a recessed area where sand and other settling parts (such as leaves and street dirt) remain behind, to prevent the sewer from becoming polluted or even clogged, endangering the important function of rainwater drainage. This dataset contains the location of all street and sidewalk gullies. This dataset is offered in both OGC:WFS and OGC:WMS service. In addition, it is possible to download the data directly in a number of file formats.
