Invasive species

Due to human activities and a changing climate, we are seeing more and more exotic species in the Netherlands. These species were not originally found in the Netherlands, but are increasingly establishing themselves in the Netherlands. New species often have few enemies and can reproduce quickly with frequent negative consequences. The American crayfish, Japanese knotweed or ring-necked parakeet are known to many people, but there are many more species that are spreading in the Netherlands. This map layer shows observation locations of invasive species (exotic species) 'Giant Hogweed', 'Japanese Knotweed' and 'Hay Fever Plant' and 'Tree of Heaven'. This dataset is offered in both OGC:WFS and OGC:WMS service. In addition, it is possible to download the data directly in a number of file formats.
