Noise in the Netherlands from train traffic (Lden)

This map shows the calculated noise impact for the whole of the Netherlands from train traffic, at a resolution of 10 metres. To calculate the noise load, data from the following noise sources were used: - railways (data from 2019/2021 - Prorail)

lineage The map only gives a rough indication of the sound quality and is not suitable for testing sound levels against 'the noise load on the facade' within the framework of the standards from the Noise Abatement Act. However, on a more global scale, the map does provide a good picture of the sound quality of priority areas such as residential areas, nature reserves and quiet areas.
