Noise impact agglomeration municipalities, Lden and Lnight, 2021 (INSPIRE)

Noise load map 2021 of the Dutch agglomeration municipalities. The map shows the noise exposure during the night (Lnight) and 24 hours (Lden), within an agglomeration, which is caused by: road traffic, rail traffic, industry and aviation. This noise load map gives substance to the requirements of the Environmental Management Act that arise from the European Environmental Noise Directive. This map does not replace the noise load map for the public. These are made available to the administrative authorities themselves

lineage The noise load map and the data originate from and are the property of the agglomeration municipalities. The agglomeration municipalities have calculated the noise load map using the CNOSSOS-EU method. This European standardized 'common calculation method' is included in Dutch legislation, in Annex VII to the Noise Calculation and Measurement Regulations 2012. The data comply with the data model drawn up by the European Environment Agency (EEA) (Article 5 of the Noise Environmental Management Regulation)) . Commissioned by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, RIVM has aggregated the supplied noise load maps (status 1/12/2022) into a national noise load map for the whole of the Netherlands by means of the Central Provision for Noise Data (CVGG).
