lineage | Territorial Landscape-Environmental Plan of a Wide Area n. 4 "della Montagnola - Colle dell'Orso" concerns the following municipalities: Carpinone, Chiauci, Civitanova del Sannio, Frosolone, Macchiagodena, S. Elena Sannita, Sessano del Molise, S. Maria del Molise, Isola Amm.va di Pescolanciano. the data acquisition process used the ESRI ArcGis 9.3 software with service pack 1. All the tools made available by ArcGis 9.3 for data creation were used. In the computerization of the data relating to the landscape plans, a single Geodatabase was created with all the data, in order to correctly create and manage the entire data processing and creation flow. A UML model was not needed in Visio since the data to be acquired did not have uniform legends between the different fields and consequently each of them had characteristics in its own right The elaboration process began with the transformation of the data (*.jpg) into data (*.tif), format better manageable in ArcGis. The raster files were georeferenced using ESRI ArcMap on the basis of corresponding points of the IGM 1:25000 tablets, which were loaded into the I SAA within the raster catalog of the same name in the personal geodatabase Raster_Molise.mdb (original reference system ED50-UTM32). During the georeferencing phase, files with the extension (*.txt) were also saved containing the georeference points and log files containing, in addition to the latter, information relating to errors, the feature classes obtained and any annotations. The feature classes present in the DB_2_landscape_plans geodatabase were built starting from a raster digitization process in (*.tif) format: the feature classes were initially created with ESRI ArcCatalog and subsequently completed using the tools of the Editor ESRI ArcMap based on the georeferenced raster. For data of this type, tip, the editing phase was performed directly on the feature classes of the Geodatabase. The structure of the feature classes was organized with ESRI ArcCatalog with the creation of special fields containing the attributes of the features based on the information described in the legend, possibly organized into domains and subtypes (in the case of a hierarchical structure of the attributes), as coherent as possible with the legend on paper. Lacking substantial uniformity in the legends of the corresponding thematic maps in the various fields, it was not possible to establish valid domains for the entire Geodatabase, and in most cases each domain is used for a single field of a single feature class. The data created they have been reprojected in geographic WGS84 using IGM Verto 2000 software, which uses the grid. They have been loaded, maintaining the information structure created, through the basic functions of ArcGIS in the SVA database, on RDBMS DB2. |
