Digital Bathymetric Model or DBM (from the English Digital Bathymetric Model) in grid format, year 1953-1954. The product, reconstructed starting from the original data of the Marine Hydrographic Institute (IIM), represents the bathymetry through a regular cell model to which information on the depth of the Adriatic Sea in front of the Emilia-Romagna Region is associated. The starting data are a copy of the original survey maps (recovered in Genoa at the IIM), in which the punctual depth values ​​of the seabed, read by the echo sounder, were transcribed. The maps have been georeferenced and digitised. Not having a homogeneous quoted plan, but punctual bathymetric data arranged along the survey transects, the punctual values ​​were first processed by the bathymetric curves (Isobaths) and then processed the DBM through a partly automatic and partly manual procedure .
