lineage Project Magic bathymetric data were acquired by multibeam echosounder in a bathymetric range approximately between 50 and 500-1,000m depth contours. Resolutions are 1 point every 50m for platform areas (depth <150m), by 1 point every 100m for the upper slope areas (from -150 to -600m depth) and by 1 point every 200m for depths greater than 600m. The grids were generated using the Global Mapper software subsampling the original data (at maximum resolution) according to the following specifications: 1 point every 50 m for depths less than 150 m, 1 point every 100 m for depths from -150 to -600 m, 1 point every 200 m for greater depths of 600 m. The grids of the different bathymetric bands have a good margin of overlap, in order to avoid the "edge effect" with consequent alteration of the heights on the marginal parts of the same.
