Offshore Sand Information System (In_Sand) - Geophysical Lines

It contains the traces of a part of the navigation routes of the seismic profiles acquired in order to identify sandy deposits on the platform. In fact, the oldest seismic lines whose cartographic restitution still made use of manual processing procedures are not included in the geodatabase. The name of the navigation line, the abbreviation relating to the acquisition campaign (which includes the year) and the type of instrument used are specified

lineage	the geophysical lines were provided by the company or body that carried out the survey campaign, continuously measuring the navigation paths during the data acquisition. The accuracy of the information is a function of various factors: the resolution of the instrumentation used for the surveys and for the positioning of the vehicles; the density of the information collected; of the accuracy linked to the data processing software and, lastly, of the sensitivity in the interpretation of the data by the expert. It should be noted that, over the years, the instrumentation for the collection of bathymetric and geophysical data has improved and so has the level of precision of the information contained in the geodatabase.
