Image-based digital surface model 50 NW

An image-based digital surface model (bDOM) describes the earth's surface and the objects located on it, such as structures and vegetation, as regularly distributed, georeferenced elevation points at the time the aerial photographs of a photogrammetric flight were taken. The image-based surface models are derived by image correlation (usually dense image matching) from oriented digital aerial photographs (DLB). For each bDOM raster point, there is an assignment with additional attributes, such as color values ​​(RGBI). The district government of Cologne, Geobasis NRW, is making the product bDOM50 available nationwide as part of its statutory mandate for North Rhine-Westphalia and is continuing this every 2 years. The OGC standard LAS in version 1.2 in Point Data Record Format 1 (PDRF 1) is used as the data format. The data is provided via the download portal in compressed LAS format (LAZ).
