Hydrostratigraphy of the cohesive surface layers

The map shows the chronological classification of the cohesive layers of the covered, near-surface aquifer. Including slight sand deposits, the thickness range of at least 5 to 50 m predominates. Areas with thicknesses >50 m are subordinate. The cover layers are exclusively from the two younger glaciation periods (Saale and Vistula glacial periods) and the subsequent warm or post-glacial period of the assigned to the Holocene.
