HK 50 A - hydrogeological map of North Rhine-Westphalia 1:50,000 (analogue)

The hydrogeological map of North Rhine-Westphalia on a scale of 1:50,000 [HK 50] shows the distribution, location and rock composition of the aquifers and aquifers occurring in the map area. In the maps, loose and hard rock are assigned to different permeability classes according to their hydraulic properties; the thickness of the usable groundwater space is also shown in loose rock. The maps also contain information on the location of springs, wells, groundwater measuring points and potential groundwater hazards (excavations, embankments). Series of sections give an impression of the position, the thickness and the hydraulic connections of the hydrogeological units.
