This file records the noise contours along provincial roads for the reference year 2011, as calculated for the EU noise mapping, 2nd tranche. The file contains the contours of noise pollution along provincial roads. The noise impact has been determined as much as possible in accordance with the Environmental Noise Handbook (VROM, September 2004). This guide has been drawn up in the context of the European Environmental Noise Directive. The noise impact was calculated using the SKM-II model. Quiet asphalt and noise barriers have been taken into account. The deduction pursuant to Article 103 of the Noise Abatement Act has not been applied. Two noise indicators are used: 1. the day category (Lden), Lden is the (energetic) average over the day, evening and night period 2. the night category (Lnight), Lnight is the average noise level over the night period ( 11:00 pm - 7:00 am).
