Fish zone basic characteristics (FZG) of the Saxon river surface water bodies (OWK)

The "fish zone basic form" - FZG verifies the reference fish zones in Saxony and combines them into a manageable number of units. Each of these units is defined by characteristic fish-faunistic corner features, which apply to larger contiguous water bodies. The basic fish zone characteristics represent an important working basis for the creation of management plans according to the WFD. In combination with the results of the fish monitoring and other data bases, it enables a targeted creation and prioritization of programs of measures to improve the ecological status of the OWK in Saxony.
