Results of the sub-steps in the designation of eutrophic areas according to § 13a DüV (05/2022) and according to §§ 9 to 11 AVV GeA

Results of the sub-steps in the designation of eutrophic areas (status: 05/2022) of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia according to § 13a Fertilizer Ordinance (DüV 2020). The table contains the results of the partial evaluations of the phosphate assessment, biology assessment and the significant nutrient inputs according to AVV GeA. Included are those OFWK that meet all the criteria for designation as an eutrophic area (for information on the procedure, see the document "Explanations of eutrophic areas in NRW (12_2022)"). For the phosphate and biology evaluation, the WFD measuring point used is given, the results of which were decisive for the designation. The measuring points are also included in the geodata set "GLDE-Ausweisungsmessnetz-eutrophierte-Gebiete-NRW_ETRS25832_Shape.zip". In some cases, different measuring points were used for the phosphate and biology evaluation if this was necessary and useful from a technical point of view. For phosphate, it is indicated whether the results for orthophosphate-phosphorus or for the substitute parameter total phosphate-phosphorus were used for the reporting. In the case of the biology assessment, the assessments are given for all biological quality elements to be examined. At least one is always rated “moderate” or worse. The last columns of the table give the results of the significant nutrient input, which results from the MEPHos modeling (https://www.flussgebiet.nrw.de/growa-nrw-2021-4994). This concerns both the share of agricultural P inputs in the total input, which is at least 20% here, and the level of agricultural P inputs, which, if the ecoregion comparative value is exceeded (see last column), is also a criterion for represents the designation of an OFWK catchment area as an eutrophic area.
