DSM LAST LiDAR with 1 meter ground resolution - Lombardy Region

Digital model of the last impulse surface (DSM LAST) with 1 meter ground resolution deriving from LiDAR scanning on an aerial platform acquired by the Ministry of the Environment and Protection of the Territory and the Sea in the context of the Extraordinary Plan for Environmental Remote Sensing. The surveys concerned the first and second order rivers (hierarchical order reported in the catalog of IGM rivers).

lineage The information was acquired with ALTM Gemini, ALTM 3100EA and Pegasus laser-scan systems of the Canadian company Optech. These systems consist of one or two laser heads operating in the near infrared (1064 nm) which send light pulses at a frequency ranging from 33 to 400 kHz depending on the flight altitude. The data coming from the aerial shots, through the Terra Match module of the TerraScan software of the Finnish company Terrasolid, were statistically analyzed and classified for the creation of the models. The reference information used is: digital model of the terrain, with a 40 m pitch, monographic cards relating to the permanent stations of the vertices of the zero network and the IGM95 network, any refinements, with respect to the IGM95 network, made available by the Regions and Autonomous Provinces. The data has been tested by the IGM.
