“Regional plan, vector" is a dataset series in digital vector format of the soil destinations in Flanders according to the regional plans. The soil destinations refer to the general and additional (special) urban development regulations as they were laid down for all the Flemish regional plans. The Regional Plans were drawn up in implementation of Spatial Planning and Urban Planning Act of 1962 and have not been amended since 2002 (the exception to this is the inclusion of information about the removal of reservation lanes and line infrastructure to be constructed - Flemish Government Decree of 14/12/2018). They remain However, they are an important instrument for spatial policy, because in most places in Flanders they are the only applicable spatial planning plan. On the other hand, other spatial planning plans may apply in many places, drawn up by the Flemish Region, the provincial authorities or the municipal authorities. The regional plan therefore often does not reflect the complete legal plan context in one location. No rights can be derived from the maps based on this dataset series. The information in the maps has purely informative value and has no legally binding force. To obtain clarity about the legal planning context of a particular plot or area, you should contact the urban planning department of the relevant municipal authority. The digital regional plans were created based on the original regional plan (amendment) and were drawn up on a map scale of 1/10,000. Consequently, this digital version is only suitable for use at a medium-scale level, more specifically with a maximum usage scale of 1/10,000. Consulting this file in combination with large-scale parcel maps is not cartographically correct and does not provide a definitive answer about the legally binding planning context of a parcel. This digital file has been compiled with the utmost care, based on the original, legally valid regional plans. However, it cannot be ruled out that certain information is outdated, incomplete or incorrect. The information shown cannot therefore be regarded as a 'certified copy' of the original regional plan (amendments). This dataset series was created by vectorization of the maps of the 25 regional plans drawn up in the period 1976 - 1980. These maps are drawn up on a map scale of 1:10,000. All adjustments resulting from the later approved regional plan changes are integrated into the dataset series. In the event that judgments of the Council of State were pronounced that led to the destruction of certain parts of the regional plans, in almost all cases the regional plan was restored to the condition before the destruction.
